Casa Tujals
Like the old farmhouses in the region the Casa Tujals is a massive timber construction built with rectangular logs (“Strickbau”). Traditionally the logs are visible on the buildings outside, for comfort the walls are clad with wooden panels or boards on the inside. Here it’s the opposite: the valuable, smooth planed logs build the interior surfaces while the insulation is mounted outside and clad with large hand-split shingles.
