Haus in Bassersdorf
The compactness of the rebuilt house next to a forest is contrasted by fragile, independent and honest elements. Thanks to the delicate but unpolished juxtaposition, the parts become strong, almost autonomous characters: the oversized, gesture-like canopy, the ventilation windows, the butterfly roof and the structural skylight with an opening into the overhanging black pine.
