Ofenturm Ziegelei-Museum
The ensemble includes a wooden brick drying hut, an unused kiln, the biotope of the historic clay pit, a residential house, and a museum building. It is the world’s first prestressed building in earth. Usually, the joints between the blocks are subsequently sealed in elaborate manual work. As a result, the traces of the elements disappear, which here become the subject of an experimental architecture that seeks to increase the efficiency of the construction process and stability through constructive innovations.
