With 56’000 cars passing every day, the Rosengartenstrasse is the busiest inner city road in Switzerland. The building’s stepped structure follows the course of the road and provides space for a quiet and sunny park at the rear. The noise-compliant apartment typology is generous despite its efficiency: All the rooms either overlook the park or receive noise-free air from the park-side loggia. The two-storey kitchen and loggia offer a generous space sequence for student community life.
