Terrain Gurzelen – Zwischennnutzung im Fussballstadion
In 2016, the city of Biel/Bienne inaugurated the new Tissot Arena and the old stadium was to be demolished. The association Terrain-Gurzelen proposed its temporary reappropriation and transformed it into a collective experimentation zone. In 2019, the contract with the city was renewed and transformed into an open-ended contract, giving the project a real possibility to develop long-term. There are many projects, all based on the principle of volunteerism and citizen involvement: a radio station, community gardens, a skatepark and many more.
